Dr. Despo Soteriou DDS, MSc

Born in Limassol in 1981. Studied dentistry at the University of Athens, Greece and received her DDS degree in 2005. She specialized in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Athens, Greece and she received her specialization in 2010 and her Master of Science (MSc) diploma in 2011.

Born in Limassol in 1988. Studied dentistry at Charles University of Prague, 1st Faculty of Medicine in Czech Republic. She continued her education at the New York University College of Dentistry in the Advanced Program of General Dentistry where she focused on esthetic dentistry and she graduated in 2014. While she was studying she was selected as a teaching assistant during preclinical workshop for younger year dental students.

She has done one research project on animals, titled: The timing of calcium hydroxide root canal treatment in avulsed permanent teeth on dogs.

Awards:
During her residency she was awarded with the Ralph E. McDonald award for the best postgraduate research project in the USA for the year 1994.

She has presented scientific speeches in recent nationwide Paediatric and dental conferences.

Dr. Niki loves boat rides and needle work and her main hobby is cooking, making pastries and playing the mandolino. She wrote a cook book in cooperation with other mothers' to raise funds for charities.

Dr. J. Bordelon award for the best clinical performance for the class of postgraduate students 1991 - 1994 from the orthodontic department of LSUMC.
Finalist for the Hatton award competition in 1993 at the IADR meeting in Chicago USA.

Research:
He has researched, presented and published work on Bone Metabolism and its' application to the clinical practice.

He was the president of the Cyprus Orthodontic Society board between the years 2002 - 2004.
He was the secretary of the Cyprus Orthodontic Society board between the years 1998 - 2002.
He was a member of the Cyprus Orthodontic Society board between the year 1996 - 1998.

Dr. Petros loves boating and his main hobbies are cycling, fishing and scuba diving in Cyprus and abroad. He is also an amateur marine photographer.

During her studies she associated with the same university were she worked as a "scientific assistant". She also worked as a Paediatric Dentist at the Dental clinic in the childrens' hospital in Athens.

She has done three research project titled:
Comparative analysis of changes in elemental composition of two Ag-brazing alloys after one year of intraoral exposure.
Clinical performance and survival of fixed space maintainers: A 7 - year retrospective cohort investigation.
A clinical study about dietary education for mentally retarded young individuals.

Upon her interest on promoting necessary health care she was selected twice as a volunteer dental student/dentist to travel in 3rd world countries to provide her professional services to people in need.

Awards:
During her volunteering services to Indonesia she was awarded as the best volunteer dental student.
