What is the hygiene department?

The hygiene department provides all the preventive care for the patients of our clinic. During the routine check up session, the Dentist will clean the teeth (remove any tartar built up or stains from the teeth) and explain to the child and the parent the importance of home care. The hygienist will also teach both child and parent how to brush and floss the teeth. An educational DVD is also available.

Diet assessment and advice on poor diet habits or any other bad oral habit will also be discussed. Fluoride treatment will be provided every 4 - 6 months according to the patient's dental needs. Orthodontic patients under 18 years old can also be seen by the dentist to maintain good oral hygiene control and to provide fluoridation which is even more necessary during orthodontic treatment.
