PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT

We help the child have a very nice experience

We create a dental culture

We fight against dental phobia

We raise children with strong teeth!

FIRST TOOTH = FIRST VISIT

A child’s first visit to the Dentist should take place when the first tooth erupts in the child’s mouth and no later than the age of one years old.

Why?

For early information! Since the causing factors of dental decay settle in the mouth during infancy, why should you visit the Dentist late?

FIRST VISIT - FAMILIARIZE YOUR CHILD

The purpose of the child’s first visit at the age of one is to inform the parents about preventing dental decay issues. The first visit includes the examination, diagnosis and most importantly the familiarization of the child in the dental environment, using the Behavior Management Techniques.

TOGETHER WE FIGHT DENTAL PHOBIA

Dental phobia is widespread and would not exist if the child started visiting the dentist before the problems with his teeth occurred.

How do we fight Dental Phobia?

WE WANT TO SEE YOU TWICE A YEAR

Frequent visits twice a year slowly lead to changes in attitude towards dental care for both parents and the child.

Together we create children who turn into adults with dental conscious.

Welcome to the Pediatric Department

Our goal: to give your child positive experiences and help them cooperate in our dental clinic.

Oral diseases

The first visit is very significant in terms of the experience your child will get in the dentist environment.

Prevention

Start brushing your child’s teeth at the age of one. It has been proven that when teeth brushing begins at this age the child will suffer less from dental decay.

Therapies

When a tooth has a cavity the treatment of choice is usually the placement of a filling, unless the cavity is too large or too deep into the nerve. In such cases and especially if the tooth had a root canal treatment a crown is considered necessary.

The importance of primary teeth and the eruption pattern of teeth

Primary teeth are very important for the following reasons:

  • They help in proper chewing
  • They aid in good pronunciation and speech habits
  • They encourage normal development of the jaw bones and muscles

Bad habits

Thumb sucking and dummy sucking are natural habits which comforts and relaxes the child. Psychologists say that the prolonged use of dummy or thumb sucking is related with the emotional absence of the mother.

Injured teeth – First Aid – Emergency Cases

Trauma to the teeth are very common and are reported millions of cases worldwide. They particularly occur in children whose upper front teeth are extruding from the mouth.
